Public Eye was a British television series that ran from 1965 to 1975.

The series depicted the investigations and cases handled by unglamorous enquiry agent Frank Marker, an unmarried loner in his 40s.

Plot lines for each of the episodes were varied – reflecting the fact that Marker had little idea what a person walking into his office at the start of an episode would be wanting of him.

From routine matters such as gathering evidence for divorces or creditworthiness enquiries, to more exotic investigations such as tracing missing people, Marker covered them all.
