July 20th this year marks the 40th anniversary of the greatest single achievement in the history of mankind - the first man on the Moon.

The Apollo 11 mission that launched on July 16th 1969 saw astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins land on the moon four days later.

Armstrong made history as the first human to step foot on the Moon, uttering the immortal words, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
