For the first time ever Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger has appeared in public with Brazilian model Luciana Morad and their 15-month-old son Lucas. The beautiful green surroundings of Richmond Park, near to the rockstar's home, served as a choice spot for the couple to be reunited to enjoy eachother's company and that of their toddler child last Tuesday afternoon.
A lot has happened since it was rumoured back in November 1998 that Mick Jagger was the father of 29-year-old Luciana Morad's then unborn infant son, Lucas. It is now official, the philandering rocker brought yet another child into the world, his seventh to date, on May 18th 1999, and as a result has since been divorced by his long-suffering partner Texan model-cum-actress Jerry Hall.
Since news broke of his affair with the beautiful young mother of his lovechild, which led to the unwanted split from his wife Jerry, he has never before now been seen out and about with his son and the Brazilian belle he met after a Rolling Stone concert in Rio de Janeiro two years ago.
But for all the distance and his reluctance to meet Ms Morad's desired paternity payments for the upbringing of their child it seems Mick is still a doting dad at heart. And to prove it the rock star, on the way to meeting Luciana and little Lucas, stopped off at a local toyshop called The Farmyard to purchase a little something for his small son.
The happy trio arrived for an outing to Richmond Park with the Rolling Stone at around midday. Once Mick's car was parked up in a secluded spot on a hill overlooking the vast green expanse, they set off on a walk together.
Following the very public and acrimonious legal wrangle between the former lovers, it is generally considered that relations between Ms Morad and the rockstar are somewhat strained. But the 56-year-old Rolling Stone, who is said to have met Luciana secretly in hotels all over the world before the pregnancy became known, seemed to be on very friendly terms with her on Tuesday: the two talked together whilst strolling around the park, with Mick, every inch the proud dad, pushing the pram and Luciana holding his jacket.
Jagger looked very relaxed and cheerful at being part of the family. Making up for lost time, the three of them spent a good couple of hours in the park together before going back to the car so that dad could dig out little Lucas's present. What followed, once the gift was unwrapped, was a touching display of parental affection as mother stood watching her little boy take tips from daddy on how to use his new push-along toy.
Happily reunited, the fatherly rocker bent down to kiss his long-lost son before parting again for who knows how long. While Lucas concentrated on the paternal offering, Mick and Luciana gave each other a friendly kiss goodbye.
Mother and child were then picked up by a stretch Jaguar, leaving dad to go his own way in his big family-sized Mercedes.
