IT'S A PLASTIC LIFE FOR MINIATURE MODELS

A French photographer has become an internet sensation with his amusing snaps of tiny plastic people carrying out everyday tasks.

Vincent Bousserez has shot a series of pictures showing the miniature figures window cleaning a pair of spectacles, shaving a man's face with a lawnmower and even scaling a woman's breast.

The 36-year-old, from Paris, started the 'Plastic Life' series four years ago after visiting a miniature model shop with a friend.

"That day I saw miniature trains, houses and trees and was captivated by these little people," he said.

"I stood in front of them, staring at them, thinking I could choose one and shoot him in different places and situations."

He has now got a selection of mini characters which he carries around with him so he can take a photo when he has a new idea.

"Most of the time I buy these little characters without thinking about a scene," he said.

"I just carry them with me and find inspiration suddenly comes. I am like a child!

"It is really spontaneous, natural and based on humour.

"The spectator enters into a world strangely similar and different from his."

Vincent, a creative director of a marketing agency, has now got 80 photos in his collection.

The pictures have been exhibited in galleries in France and Switzerland and featured in magazines, newspapers and on websites all over the world.

Vincent, who hopes to publish a Plastic Life book next year, added: "My friends laugh sometimes when I suddenly come up with an idea and stop in the middle of a conversation.

"I get my characters, compose my still life and shoot. When a joke scene comes to mind I don't hesitate."
